FAQs

FAQs

When should I book?

The best time to book depends on your wedding month, but generally, I recommend booking at least a year in advance. If you’re planning to send Save the Dates, booking 14 months ahead is ideal to keep everything on track.

What does it look like to work together?

I want to get to know you—your venue location, color palette, Pinterest or mood boards, your favorite flowers, favorite New Girl character, favorite bird, favorite quote—everything that makes your heart sing (and even a few things that don’t!).

From there, I’ll dive deep into your inspiration, explore Pinterest, mood boards, and Google images, and create a concept sketch that captures your vision. I’ll send it to you as a pencil sketch and once you give it the green light, I’ll break out the paints and brushes. After a few weeks, you’ll receive a beautifully fleshed-out design to review in a PDF format.

You’ll have two rounds of revisions to make sure every detail feels just right.

The entire process typically takes 4-5 months for full suites and 1-2 months for Save the Dates.

I live outside the US, can we work together?

Absolutely! I am a sucker for the world's architecture and landscape.

I'm sold! how do I book?

Let's set up a Discovery call! Once we both ensure it's a great fit, I require a 50% retainer to be added to my design calendar. The remaining payment is due when your suite goes to print!

the DESIGN PROCESS

1 | Client Intake &
Research

We begin with a client questionnaire, where you’ll describe the essence of your wedding day—maybe it’s “Sussex countryside” or “classic New England charm”—along with your color palette and any details that inspire you. Think of it as setting the tone for your celebration, from the breezy welcome party to the intimate seaside ceremony. Keep an open heart as we dive into the design process—it often leads to the most enchanting and unexpected details!

2 | Concept Sketch
2-3 weeks

Next, I’ll create initial concepts, mapping out the layout—what goes where, and in what sizes and shapes. At this stage, I’ll present rough pencil sketches with simplified illustrations, abstract details, and black-and-white outlines. If any big changes are needed, this is the perfect time to make them!

3 | Painting
4-8 weeks

Once the concepts are approved, I dive into painting, adding all the details that were hinted at in the sketches. You’ll have up to two rounds of revisions here if needed—perfect for tweaking colors, text, or similar details. Major design overhauls aren’t part of this stage.

While I’m bringing your suite to life, you can focus on gathering guest addresses and maybe even selecting those perfect postage stamps!

4 | Production
3-4 weeks

Production kicks off once the design is fully approved!

5 | Assembly &
Mailing

2-3 weeks

I can handle everything—from addressing and stuffing envelopes to affixing postage and mailing them out for you.

Samantha did my invitation suite as well as menus for day of and she was so incredible to work with! I had a very clear vision for both & she executed the vision with so much creativity. So so excited to frame some of these pieces forever, and for our guests to see! Highly recommend if you’re looking for custom, detailed watercolor work.
